OXD’s own Ru Bhatt (DJ RuBot) has made a new mixtape for you to enjoy this weekend. The title, ‘Makes Me Wanna Give It,’ is a nod to Duke Dumont’s ‘Giver,’ a track that has made the crowd go absolutely wild at previous Occupy the Disco events (both Aeroplane and The Magician played the track during their sets). Part II of the ‘Perfect Summer Day’ series, ‘Sugar Boat Disco’ showcases the emerging trend of R&B hits from yesterday being refashioned into Balearic disco & house tracks. There are a few artists that have pretty much cornered the market on this (almost all of them from one of our favorite labels, French Express) so this mix consistently delivers a great, chilled-out vibe. To end the summer on a sweet note, Ru Bhatt (DJ RuBot), who occupies 33% of OXD, has made a trilogy of mixes just in time for your Labor Day weekends. Ru has been sharing his mixtapes called the ‘The Ru-Mix’ for over fifteen years. Some of his previous mixes have been featured on Made In Brazil in the past.

Inspired by the idea of a perfect summer day, Ru created this series of mixtapes to provide a complementary soundtrack to your late summertime activities, whether it be chilling out in the early morning, revelry by the pool or dancing under the setting sun.
